Mike is the founder of Network Accounting and Tax and continues to provide high quality tax preparation, planning and guidance to closely held businesses and successful individuals in a broad range of industries. He strongly believes in the value of client relationships and assures every client receives close analysis and attention to their tax situations. A native of the Chicago area, Mike has a Master’s Degree in Taxation from DePaul University and passed all four parts of the CPA on the initial sitting. With almost 40 years of experience as a CPA, he has also served in a CFO consulting role for several Chicago-based organizations. Outside of tax season, Mike enjoys traveling, spending time with his grandchildren and is active in church ministries.

Tim is a Managing Partner at Network Accounting & Tax and is an Enrolled Agent through the Internal Revenue Service.  He is a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance. He specializes in individual and business tax preparation, trust/estate tax preparation, homeowner’s associations (HOA) tax preparation, IRS and State audit representation/resolution, and strategic income tax planning for individuals and small businesses.  His income tax expertise spans across a broad range of industries/professions, including: medical professionals, realtors, contractors, educators, and all forms of consulting and service businesses. Prior to joining Network Accounting & Tax, Tim owned and operated Advisant Financial & Tax, worked as an analyst at BMO Capital Markets in Chicago, and also worked on several Netflix films as Lead Production Accountant. His interests include community and professional events, church ministries, and enjoying time with his wife and two young children.

He specializes in individual and business tax preparation, IRS and State audit representation/resolution, and strategic income tax planning for individuals and small businesses.  His income tax expertise spans across a broad range of industries/professions, including: technology, construction, counseling, and financial services. Prior to joining Network Accounting & Tax, Sean owned and operated Whalen Tax Group, worked as a business analyst at Walgreens in Deerfield, and also at Aetna in Chicago. His interests include actively participating in and leading church community events, home improvement and construction projects, and enjoying visits to national parks.
